Leofoto VH-10 Monopod head
Only 84 mm high is ideal for using this head on monopods, which are usually also compact and light. Nevertheless, the VH-10 moves a load of 12 kg with a front inclination of -90° to + 90°. The latter can be optimally checked using a laser-engraved scale. The freedom of movement of the VH-10 can be compared a little with that of a ball head. But because it does not contain a massive ball, this head is lighter than some ball heads. A handy rotary knob makes loosening and fixing the inclination extremely pleasant and precise.
The quick coupling has a laser-engraved, therefore very precise and fine 360 ° scale, which among other things also contributes to the success of panorama pans. And of course this coupling is not just fast, it is also Arca-Swiss compatible. This means that the camera can be changed in a flash. If the worst comes to the worst, the quick release plate can be exchanged for another model, and Leofoto itself already offers a whole range of them.
Another convenience feature should not go unmentioned: With the Leofoto VH-10 two-way panhead, the camera and telephoto lens can remain on the head and the monopod pushed together for transport. You only have to tilt the VH-10 all the way forward by 90°. In this way, the telescope and monopod come to lie closely parallel – a very compact unit. And it is quickly ready for use again – for the next, often fleeting, motifs.
